On 1st October, Lincolnshire Day, Year 7s visited Lincoln Castle. Although the renovation work is still in progress the guides gave them a very interesting tour of the many things to see outside.
Year 11 Performing Arts students performed A Comedy of Errors on Monday 13th October at Lincoln Drill Hall. It was a fun, bright and vibrant performance which looked at the fun side of the circus but also touched on the darker side too.
IGCSE students visited Keelby Primary school to launch a new online magazine called ‘The Triangle’. The magazine is based around the British Councils ‘Connecting Classrooms’, where UK schools work with schools in other countries to establish strong links.
CYA invited local Primary Schools in to partake in a WW 1 themed activity day to commemorate the centenary year 1914-2014. They also played a 5 a side football tournament, as part of Football Remembers event, to celebrate the 1914 Christmas Truce.
On Wednesday 26th November, Y11 from the last examination season, returned to the Academy in order to receive their certificates. It was a happy and lively occasion. The Chair of Governors, Tony Maund, presented the certificates.
